Video of cyclists avoiding new North Melbourne bike lane surfaces

Jacqui Felgate

A new bike lane has been built in North Melbourne, but new vision shows some cyclists still opting to ignore it.

The video shows cyclists ignoring the new Arden Street bike lane, preferring to ride on the same stretch of road now reserved for cars.

Bicycle Network CEO Alison McCormack said she suspected works in the area could be to blame.
