VIDEO: Race attack at Melbourne synagogue

Tom Elliott

Footage of a shocking race-motivated attack on a group of Jewish men has emerged on social.

The man seems to claim to be Aboriginal and tell one of the Jewish men to ‘go back to Israel’, before screaming about Allah.

The video ends with police arriving at the scene.

The incident happens at Adass Synagogue in Melbourne.

Avi Yemini, founder of IDF training, told Neil Mitchell he thought the video was ‘amazing’ because it painted the Jewish community in a positive light.

‘They had the opportunity to pound the guy and they almost had the reason to,’ he explained on 3AW Mornings.

‘Most people in our community today probably would have done that.

‘But if you watch the video, they took him down nicely and held him down until the police came.’
