Vietnam’s Tommy’s Bar owner with Ross Greenwood

Ross Greenwood speaks to Glenn Nolan the owner of Tommy’s Bar in Vietnam about the dinner being held for 33 veterans last night and a history of the bar.

‘We’ve got quite a few veterans over here at the moment,’ Mr Nolan said.

‘It’s quite bitter that everyone’s come over here for the commemoration service and suddenly yesterday we were told that it’s not on.’

Nolan says he is unsure why the commemoration was closed down.

‘Someones got a bee in the bonnet that the Australians are over here to celebrate their victory over the Vietnamese, that’s not that case.’

He says they are trying to cement a friendship.
