Violent brawl at Southern Cross supermarket

A violent brawl involving up to 10 people has erupted at a supermarket at Southern Cross Station in the CBD.

The fight between the group of young people of African appearance broke out in front of shocked Woolworths shoppers just before 2pm.

One witness, Daniel, says it was a confronting scene.

“It was just crazy,” he said.

“It was a mix of male and female, just throwing punches, screaming and fighting.

“At least eight to 10 people, maximum.”
