Virgin Australia confirms 3000 staff will lose jobs, Tiger Air dumped

Virgin Australia has confirmed its sacking 3000 workers and dumping Tiger Air as part of a major overhaul.

It comes as the aviation industry continues to come to terms with the monstrous impact of COVID-19 on travel.

“It’s been a pretty sombre day,” Paul Scurrah, CEO of Virgin Australia, told Tom Elliott.
