LATEST: Voice to Parliament referendum defeated

The Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum has been defeated.

Experts have called NSW, South Australia and Tasmania as “no” states.

9News declared the ‘no’ vote had won just after 7.30pm.

“It’s looking very likely that the ‘no’ will be very comfortably winning this referendum,” senior politics lecturer from Monash University, Dr Zareh Ghazarian, told Neil Mitchell. “Unless there’s some sort of pockets of concentrated yes votes in each of these states I can’t see ‘yes’ winning.”
