‘Volatile global times’: Farmers warned of potential grim 2023-2024 financial year
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences has predicted broad area farm income could drop by almost half due to a range of issues affecting farmers.
President of the Victorian Farmers Federation, Emma Germano, says the modelling the prediction is based on includes a range of different types of farmers.
“We know it’s very volatile global times that we’re in and those are the things that affect farmers the most,” she told Neil Mitchell.
