Volunteer numbers in Australia are on the decline
Volunteer numbers in Australia are on the decline, with a drop in 400,000 volunteers from 2020 to 2021.
Mark Pearce, CEO of Volunteering Australia, said it was a worry.
“Volunteers are fundamental to the everyday operation of community,” he said.
“When volunteering numbers fall, everybody suffers.”
