Residents in McCrae are voicing their concerns about the security of their homes following last month’s mudslide, which continues to displace several community members.

Mike O’Neill, who is spokesperson for the concerned residents, told Jacqui Felgate 11 properties were vulnerable after thieves targeted the damaged homes in recent weeks.

“A lack of information is the situation we’ve been confronted with for the last five weeks,” he said on 3AW Drive.

“There’s really not a lot of common sense and compassion being shown by our elected representatives,” he said.

Mr O’Neill confirmed to 3AW some of the homes were robbed again over the weekend.
