‘Wake up call’: Tom Elliott’s stern message for Brad Battin after latest polling
Tom Elliott has reacted to the latest polling by RedBridge, which shows Premier Jacinta Allan is poised to remain in power, with support for state opposition leader Brad Battin decreasing.
Since Battin took over as opposition leader last December, the vote share for the Coalition has fallen six points, and while Labor’s primary vote fell one point in the latest poll, they are still in an election-winning position.
“What it really represents is a wake up call for Brad Battin,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

“If a (state) election were held right now, not only would Jacinta Allan win, she might get an increased majority.
“What the poll is telling us, and what is clear to me, is that the state opposition is not doing a very good job of convincing people to change their mind.”
Director at RedBridge and former deputy state director of the Liberal Party, Tony Barry, then provided insight into the latest polling and the struggles of the Liberals.
“Crime is only going to get him so far … he needs to go looking for other issues,” Mr Barry said about Battin.
