Retired Victorian police detective Charlie Bezzina has taken aim at the state’s justice system after recent annual Victoria Police figures revealed a shocking result.

The former Victoria Police detective told Ross and Russ, “Clearly, there [are] no consequences, and that’s where we’re falling down.”

“These courts have to wake up, give the penalties, and have more support for the poor old victim,” he added.
