Wantaway Crow Jake Lever spotted training with opposition captain

One of Melbourne’s priority signings in the trade period has already started training with the club.
Trade week gets underway today, with Jake Lever hoping to join the Demons after nominating the club as his preferred destination.
The 21-year-old’s decision has left Adelaide bosses furious and he was told not to attend last Friday’s best and fairest vote count.
And he has been quick to move on.
In lieu of a post-best and fairest hangover, Lever was spotted doing a vigorous workout with Demons Co-Captain Jack Viney on Saturday morning.
Lever was one of the AFL’s best defenders in 2017 and his anticipated switch is far from certain of becoming a reality.
Crows officials claim they understand his intentions, but will negotiate with all 10 Victorian clubs to get the best deal for Adelaide.
They believe Lever’s primary motivation is money, rejecting suggestions he’s heading home for family reasons.
