Warning to young drivers as end-of-season football celebrations kick off

Victoria Police has issued a warning to young drivers ahead of local football final celebrations.

New figures have revealed about one-in-four drink drivers is now under the age of 25, and there was an 11 per cent increase in drink driving in the age group in the year to March 2023, compared with the previous year.

As end-of-season football celebrations kick off across the state, local sports clubs are being encouraged to be arranging safe transport options to get people home safely from events.
