WATCH: The Aussie tourism ad that cost us $36m
Australia has spent $36 million on a tourism ad.
The ad aired during the Super Bowl, a broadcast with the most expensive – and most watched – ads on television.
It features Chris Hemsworth in a parody of a Crocodile Dundee-style film trailer.
But Tom Elliott said the ad is “absolutely terrible”.
“I’m sick of the cliches,” Tom said.
“I don’t know what we have to do to get more Americans to come here, but rehashing tired old stereotypes is not it.”
