Wayne Gatt: Victoria Police are ‘sleepwalking’ the state into a major industrial dispute
Secretary of the Victorian Police Association, Wayne Gatt, has stated Victoria Police are “sleepwalking” the state into a major industrial dispute.
It comes as the police union fight for a four per cent pay rise and the introduction of nine-hour shifts, with Mr Gatt claiming his members have been impacted by “relentless workloads that have been put on them in a shrinking police force”.
Neil Mitchell said he’s never seen the police union boss be as tough as he was on industrial dispute as he was today.
