‘We don’t support it’: Tom Elliott’s strong reaction to latest survey on the Victorian treaty
Tom Elliott has given his thoughts on the latest survey results on the Victorian treaty, which could become law next month.
The survey was conducted by the Institute of Public Affairs, with the 3AW Mornings host stating the results mirror that of the Voice to Parliament referendum.
“I think a lot of us, myself included, don’t think dividing people by race is a good idea,” he said.

“We don’t support it, but the state government is determined to push it through.”
Institute of Public Affairs research fellow Margaret Chambers agreed with Tom Elliott, stating there’s not a lot of “public knowledge” about the treaty in the community.
“What this survey actually shows is that the more that Victorians know about the treaty, the less they like it,” Ms Chambers said on 3AW Mornings.
