‘We’ll still make the eight,’ says Richmond coach Damien Hardwick

A defiant Damien Hardwick has insisted Richmond will play finals in 2016.

The Tigers have started slowly, with disappointing losses to Collingwood and Adelaide after scraping past Carlton in the season opener.

But Hardwick said as far as he’s concerned, the Tigers will still be finishing in the top eight.

‘We have to make sure we just don’t make up the numbers,’ he told 3AW Football.

‘We want to be a legitimate contender, and to do that, we’re going to make some hard calls.’
