Councillor from the City of Hume, Jack Medcraft, has called on the state government to “stop spinning things” in regards to overnight closures of police stations as residents begin to feel increasingly unsafe in some areas.

It comes after 23 stations closed overnight at the end of November, with another 20 set to follow suit.

“It’s a real dilemma at the moment, and the government has to address this and stop spinning things saying it’s good,” councillor Medcraft told Tony Jones.
