‘We need you’: Zelenskyy makes impassioned plea to US Congress
Ukraine’s President made an impassioned plea to the United States to provide further support to his country as it continues to fend off Russian attacks.
Addressing US Congress via video link, Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged the politicians to remember the Pearl Harbour and September 11 attacks as he requested further sanctions from the US on Russian politicians and a no-fly zone over his nation.
A confronting and emotional video was shown during the address – depicting horrendous scenes of buildings being bombed, body bags being thrown into trenches for burial and the blood spattered bodies of children.

“We need you right now,” Mr Zelenskyy told the US Congress.
“I call on you to do more.”
The Ukrainian President ended his address with a challenge to US President Joe Biden.
“I wish to you be the leader of the world. Being the leader of the world means to be the leader of peace,” he said.
In response to the confronting plea, Joe Biden announced another $800 million in security assistance for Ukraine, including anti-aircraft weapons and drones, but refused to establish a no-fly zone over the country.
