‘We ran for our lives’: Shocking dog attack leaves family ‘horrified’

A family has been forced to “run for their lives” after two dogs savaged one of theirs.

The shocking attack happened at Brimbank Park, just after 5pm on Monday afternoon.

Rosie told 3AW Mornings there was “nothing” they could do to stop the two dogs, who came sprinting towards them.

“It was just an utterly terrifying experience,” she said.

Rosie, her sister and their kids managed to escape with their dog bleeding.

The vet bill is expected to run into the thousands.

Rosie said the two offending dogs were either pit bulls or staffys.

“As you can imagine, it was getting dark at the time,” she said.

They’ve made a plea for anybody who saw anything.
