‘We should be worried’ about reported Chinese military plan

Shadow defence minister Richard Marles admits Australians should be alarmed by reports China is eyeing a military base in Vanuatu.

Fairfax Media said the Chinese government was in talks with leaders in Vanuatu about setting up a permanent base in the pacific.

“Yeah, we should be worried about this,” Mr Marles told Neil Mitchell.
