“We’d be safer if everyone had a gun”: Las Vegas gun dealer speaks with Neil Mitchell

A Las Vegas gun dealer and instructor with a powerful American gun lobby has told 3AW Mornings he believes all “responsible” Americans should carry weapons.

Neil Mitchell asked James Bobal if he believed the latest shooting massacre would see a change in US law.

“I certainly hope not and I don’t believe it will,” Mr Bobal said.

“I feel very fortunate to be in this country where we have the second amendment.”

Neil explained to Mr Bobal how Australia has not seen another mass shooting since the tightening of gun laws after 34 people were shot and killed in Port Arthur.

“I don’t know how that would pertain to the United States,” Mr Bobal replied.

“We’d be safer in this country if everyone had a gun.

“I think every responsible person, especially females, should carry a weapon.”
