“We’re really shaken” | Airbag “explodes for no reason”

A family has been left extremely shaken after the airbag in their Mazda CX9 exploded “for no reason” while they were looking for a carpark.

Daniel told Neil Mitchell his wife was driving at “no more than 5 to 10 km/h” in the Knox when the airbag exploded.

Their children were in the car at the time.

“I’m really, really shaken,” he said.
