The Western Bulldogs have taken a hit leading into Saturday night’s elimination final against Adelaide, with key pair Jordan Roughead and Jason Johannisen both ruled out due to injury.

Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge delivered the news this morning in what is sure to put a dent in the club’s hopes of getting over the line against the Crows.

Key tall Roughead shaped as a potential match-up for Taylor Walker or Josh Jenkins in defence, while Johannisen has provided crucial drive out of the back half all season.

Meanwhile, North Melbourne coach Brad Scott has refused to put a line through injury-plagued midfielder Daniel Wells for Sunday’s do-or-die final against Richmond.

He hasn’t played since round 2.
