Western Bulldogs players not coming to Ballarat to celebrate premiership

Article image for Western Bulldogs players not coming to Ballarat to celebrate premiership

Footy fans in Ballarat have been left confused and disappointed after it was revealed the Western Bulldogs players wouldn’t be part of a premiership celebration on Monday.

The City of Ballarat had previously promoted a visit.

The Bulldogs are set to play home games in the regional city from next year.

A function will be held at the town hall on Monday afternoon, but players are no longer expected to be there.

Club president Peter Gordon and other officials will instead front the crowd with the premiership cup.
