Western Bulldogs trade Joel Hamling to Fremantle

Joel Hamling has been traded to Fremantle.

The Dockers sent pick 35 to the Western Bulldogs in exchange for the premiership defender.

The Bulldogs also received picks 43 and 61 from the Dockers, with the Dogs sending picks 40 and 63 back.

In somewhat of a shock after the Grand Final, Hamling informed the Bulldogs he wanted to head back to Western Australia.

The 24-year-old played 23 games in his two seasons with the Dogs.
