‘We’ve been conned’: Neil Mitchell hits out at the federal government’s renewable energy pledge

Australians are being warned their electricity bills are likely to remain high for years with the country lagging on its transition to renewable energy.

The federal government has pledged to triple the amount of renewable energy in the grid by 2030, but industry executives say the nation is failing to build enough green power.

“We’ve been conned, we’ve been lied to,” Neil Mitchell said.
