‘We’ve seen that happen so many times’: Expert claims Liberals likely to struggle in future state elections

With the Liberals failing to pick up any seats in Victoria, questions regarding Victorian Labor Premier Jacinta Allan’s chances at the next election are beginning to be asked.
Red Bridge Group director Kos Samaras pointed out while Victorians are unhappy with Labor, the Coalition has a demographic issue with voters under the age of 45.
“We’ve seen that happen so many times … In 2017, the Coalition were leading in the polls, and a year later it was a landslide for Labor,” he told Sunday Morning.

He noted voters are not moving towards the Coalition and they’ll be struggling for many more elections to come.
“If you fast forward two and a half, three years time, there’s going to be more of these types of voters that the Coalition has real significant problems with,” he added.
Mr Samaras also pointed to the Greens’ support of Palestine, and their antics, as the big reason for why they’ve struggled to maintain their seats in metropolitan Brisbane and Melbourne.
