What an ultra-marathon runner hopes to achieve with 1300k run through Antarctica

An ultra-marathon runner is hoping to break a record when she attempts to run 1300km through Antarctica in 30 days later this year.
Donna Urquhart says she hopes to see how far humans can run in polar conditions as well as encourage young girls to stay in sports.
“We want to use this as a platform to raise awareness for girls in sports … 50 per cent of girls drop out of sports during their teenage years,” she told Neil Mitchell.
