What frustrated Sam McClure most about the Socceroos’ World Cup defeat

Sam McClure says he’s frustrated by the apathy to the Socceroos being hammered by France in their World Cup opener.

3AW’s Wide World of Sports host said he went to the match in Qatar fully expecting the reigning world champions to walk away with the win over Australia, but it was how that unfolded and the overall acceptance of the result – a match Australia led mid-way through the first half – that had annoyed him.

“What disenfranchises me is the way in which we lost, and our reaction to it,” he said.
