The Queen has begun her final journey from Balmoral to London.

Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin has travelled from Balmoral Castle to Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, where it’s now in the throne room.

Tomorrow, a procession including King Charles will accompany the coffin to St Giles’ Cathedral, where it’ll remain for 24 hours for public viewing.

The Queen’s coffin will then be flown to London, and will move from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall, where it’ll remain for four days, giving Londoners a chance to farewell the Queen.

A state funeral will be held in the UK next Monday.
