What is driving increased homelessness in regional Victoria
An “incredibly tight” rental market, soaring house prices and an undersupply of housing has lead to increase in homelessness in regional areas.
Danni Hunter, Victorian Executive Director of the Property Council of Australia, told Tom Elliott it needed urgent addressing.
She pointed out the latest figures, which showed median house prices in regional Victoria had increased 17 per cent in the year to March.
“We’ve got to take a strategic view about this,” she said.
