What is driving the big lift in Melbourne hotel occupancies

Melbourne hotels have experienced a 50 per cent lift in occupancy rates this year, with tourists and business trips springing back into action after lockdowns.

Dougal Hollis, General Manager of the accommodation arm of the Australian Hotels Association, told 3AW Breakfast it was great to see.

“We’ve got some work to do, but we are certainly trending in the right direction,” he said.
