What needs to be done to reduce ‘significantly’ high airfares

The Australian Bureau of Statistics have released data showing international holiday prices are up 38 per cent, while domestic holiday prices are up 25 per cent.

CEO of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents, Dean Long, has explained why airfares are so expensive at the moment and what needs to be done to reduce those airfares.

“If you’re looking to get to Europe this summer and you haven’t already booked, you will be paying significantly more,” Mr Long told Neil Mitchell.
