What needs to happen to prevent the ‘shocking’ amount of drownings in Victoria
Victoria has had the highest amount of drowning deaths in any summer period since detailed records began in 2000, with 26 lives lost.
A lot of deaths come from multicultural backgrounds, with strategic advisor in diversity and inclusion at Life Saving Victoria David Holland stating it’s a “very broad multicultural problem”.
