What ‘really pisses off’ Rod Barton about the CBD parklet plan

Transport Matters Party leader Rod Barton has taken aim at a plan to convert 10,000 CBD parking spaces into parklet gardens, saying it’d be “an absolute nightmare”.

Mr Barton took particular issue with the impact the plan would have on people with disabilities.

“It’ll be an absolute nightmare … with the taxis. We know the City of Melbourne has removed taxi ranks,” he told Neil Mitchell.

“You’re actually making it more difficult … for people with disabilities, and that really pisses me off.”
