What ‘really worries’ Jacqui Felgate after shocking Mernda assault

Jacqui Felgate has done some digging into the state government’s Violence Reduction Unit, after the shocking assault that unfolded at Mernda Station on Monday afternoon.

Mother Rebecca was very emotional on 3AW Drive yesterday while talking about her daughter, who was bashed and spat on in a lift at the station, leaving her traumatised.

“It is another exercise by this government in perception, not reality,” the 3AW Drive host said.

“This is akin to handing out lollies at Schoolies.”

Rebecca then joined the program again after finding out her daughter’s attacker got bail.

“I’m shaking, I’m so furious, I’m upset, not the outcome we were pleading for,” Rebecca told Jacqui Felgate.
