What rural communities say is ‘key’ in the aftermath of the Voice

Those in rural Australian communities are calling for action on issues affecting Indigenous Australians and Indigenous youth as the Voice campaign ends.

Alice Springs baker and founder of Action for Alice, Darren Clarke, says the local community has “moved on” from the Voice, however, they hope issues raised during campaigning will be addressed.

“We know the amount of money that comes to remote communities in places like Alice Springs, but rarely does it really hit the ground.. we have to get these young kids some help; that’s the key here,” he said.
