What the collapse of three major American banks means for Australia

ANZ boss Shayne Elliott has moved to reassure Australians after the collapse of three major banks in the United States sparked concerns a global financial crisis could be around the corner.

The ANZ chief told Neil Mitchell it was “very important” people were informed of what was happening at home and abroad.

“The reality is we are in a fight and war against inflation, and in that war there will be casualties,” he said.
