What the terrorist attack on Moscow means for the western world
There are concerns, a terrorist attack on a Moscow city hall, which has left 137 people dead and 154 more injured, could spark a resurgence in “Islamic terrorism”.
Chair of global Islamic politics, at the Alfred Deakin institute for citizenship and globalisation at Deakin University, Professor Greg Barton, says there is a resurgence in the western world.
“If the “us” was Africa, this wouldn’t be new … Europe has disrupted numerous plots by this group, ISIS-K, alone, in the last 12 months ,” he told Tom Elliott.

He also states Russia is high on the list for the terror group.
“Russia occupied Afghanistan, and of course, more recently, they supported the regime of Bashar al-Assad,” he said.
