What Tom Elliott can’t understand about the ABC

Tom Elliott cannot understand why Australians should have to pay for content on the ABC.
His comments come after it was revealed households are being slugged $105 a year for access to the public broadcaster, despite almost half of Aussies not watching or engaging with any of its platforms.
The 3AW Mornings host said he’s “never understood” the costs associated with the ABC.

“I object (to paying for the ABC),” he said on 3AW.
“If I want to buy Stan, Paramount or Netflix, I can choose to buy it. Why should she we pay for the ABC, I’ve never understood it.”
