What Victoria’s Ombudsman receives the most complaints about

Local councils top the list of complaints investigated by Victoria’s Ombudsman.

And Casey Council is the most commonly complained about local government.

Deborah Glass said her office has had to deal with more than 3500 complaints in a 12-month period.

“It’s not surprising they’re a big part of my work,” Deborah Glass told 3AW.

“It’s the level of government that we all have some connection with, whether it’s fines, drains, rates, waste collection – you name it – we all have something to say about our councils.”
