What Warren Mundine and Brad Battin think of Victoria’s Voice to Parliament

Indigenous leader Warren Mundine says the Voice to Parliament has become a racial issue, and the nation has moved on.
Victoria is expected to get its own Voice To Parliament, with the Allan government set to beef up the First Peoples’ Assembly and make it a permanent agency.
That’s despite a majority of Victorians (54 per cent) voting against it at the referendum.

“We’ve moved on as a nation,” Mr Mundine told Tom Elliott on 3AW Mornings.
State opposition leader Brad Battin then had his say on the news, and called out the “dishonest” Allan government in relation to treaty negotiations and the Voice to Parliament.
“We’ll back the Victorian people, this has already been put to a vote throughout the state, and Victoria has said that they overwhelmingly don’t want a Voice to Parliament,” Battin said on 3AW.
