RUMOUR CONFIRMED

Port Phillip Council is about to remove all books from a local library.

But 3AW’s Rumour File heard on Thursday that the council would still call the space a “library” and employ “librarians”.

Councillor Andrew Bond confirmed the rumour.

“The Middle Park library is going to be repurposed into a creative space for 18 to 25-year-olds,” Cr Bond said.

This prompted Ross and John to consider whether or not it can still be called a “library”.
