When five to 11-year-olds will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccines
The green light has been given for more than two-million children to receive COVID-19 vaccines from next month.
Children aged five to 11 will be able to receive the vaccine from January 10.
Australia’s expert immunisation panel has signed off on the rollout of Pfizer for the age group.
Healthcare providers will be required to undergo specific training and doses must be batch tested before rollout begins.
In a study conducted earlier this year, close to half of surveyed parents said they would be more likely to get their child vaccinated if they were compensated for the disruption to their work.
