Where the Erin Patterson story goes from here following guilty verdict

Attention is starting to turn to what comes next after mushroom murderer Erin Patterson’s guilty verdict.

Patterson was found guilty on three accounts of murder and one account of attempted murder after serving beef wellingtons laced with death cap mushrooms at a family lunch in 2023.

Criminal barrister Nick Pappas KC says it could still be months until the convicted murderer is sentenced.

“The reality is in my view that there’ll be an appeal (of the verdict),” he told Heidi Murphy.
