Whispers returns with news of Melbourne midfielder Dom Tyson’s knee injury
3AW favourite Whispers has returned with a bombshell on a Melbourne midfielder.
Whispers revealed that Dom Tyson has suffered a knee injury in pre-season which will set him back up to eight weeks.
The Demons later confirmed that Tyson had sustained a ‘partial dislocation of his patella tendon’ and will miss a substantial portion of the pre-season.
Tyson is expected to be fit for the JLT Series.
Whispers was a long-time favourite among Sports Today listeners, but has been away for the past few years.
He told Gerard Healy he’s spent the time with monks in the Himalayas – but it seems he hasn’t lost his contacts in the AFL industry.
Whispers also understands that St Kilda has settled on the man to replace Nick Riewoldt as captain.
