White Ribbon Australia to shut down

Former White Ribbon ambassador Tarang Chawla says he’s not surprised by news the charity will shut down.
The board of the domestic violence prevention advocate says it’s been forced to close after reviewing its future sustainability.
Mr Chawla, who became an activist against gendered violence following the murder of his sister, told 3AW Drive the charity had unfortunately made a few “missteps” along the way that hard hurt its public support.
“Ultimately, where White Ribbon lost its way is that unfortunately a lot of men felt demonized, rather than encouraged, to be part of the solution,” he said.
