Why 30 healthcare organisations are advocating for usage of gas energy to end
Healthcare workers have gathered on the steps of Parliament to ask Victorian minister for climate action, Lily D’Ambrosio, to support the switch from gas to renewable electricity.
Co-deputy of the Victorian branch of the Royal Australian College of GPs, Dr Aadhil Aziz, says there are 30 healthcare organisations involved in the proposal.
“Which [they] basically advocated for the risks of gas in our homes. Now, we’re not talking about things that have already happened, we’re talking about future builds,” Mr Aadhil Aziz told Tom Elliott.
