Why a Nationals senator has labelled Anthony Albanese a ‘coward’

Nationals Senator, Bridget McKenzie, has labelled Prime Minister Anthony Albanese a “coward” in an emotion-filled interview on 3AW.

It comes after the federal government announced it will fund a national gun buyback scheme in the wake of the Bondi terror attack.

“This Prime Minister is not John Howard, he is a coward,” Ms McKenzie told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Drive.

“This guy has used thousands of words since Sunday to describe what happened. You know the two he hasn’t put together? Islamic terrorism.

“If you can’t name the problem, you can’t solve the problem.”
